The Minneapolis-based full service agency has been CNS' agency-of-record for approximately one year, after winning the estimated $16 million (£10 million) account following an agency review in March of 1997.

CNS cited a difference in "strategic philosophy" on how to build CNS into a larger, diversified consumer products company as the reason for the split.

CNS, which is also based in Minneapolis, is the maker of Breathe Right nasal strips and BANISH personal smoke deodoriser, is understood to have invited several unnamed shops into pitch for the account.
