Martin Wright joins revamped Thomson

Thomson Intermedia, the media monitoring and auditing company that recently installed Michael Greenlees as its chief executive and Nick Manning as its chief operating officer, has appointed Martin Wright as a managing partner.

Wright, the former president of FCBi Europe, joins as the managing partner of its media monitoring unit.

His appointment comes as Thomson gears up to market its data services to media agencies and publishers, in addition to advertisers.

Simon Cross will continue to head the Thomson-owned Billetts Media Consultancy as managing partner, while Andy Pearch, the former chief executive of Billetts and the commercial director of Thomson Intermedia, takes the new role of managing partner for content and data integrity.

The restructure follows the arrival of Greenlees and Manning two months ago, after the Thomson founders, Sarah Jane Thomson and Steve Thomson, decided to take a back seat in the business.
