Mastercard has extended its sponsorship of the Brit Awards on ITV
to include a preview show.
The half-hour programme, Countdown to the Brits, will be broadcast on 28
February at 10.30pm.
It will include interviews with award nominees, conducted in the London

a sponsored radio campaign on Capital FM and a series of competitions in
The broadcast deal was negotiated by Andy Thompson at Carlton on behalf
of ITV, and Rita Broe, regional head of marketing at Mastercard.
The Brit Awards will be held on 3 March at Earl’s Court and will be
broadcast on ITV the following day. This year’s nominees include Travis
for the Mastercard best british album, Macy Gray for best international
newcomer and Fatboy Slim for best british video.
