Barwell joined Britvic in January, taking up this executive board-member position at an exciting time for the business. It is undergoing significant international expansion, alongside major UK product launches such as Robinsons Squash’d. Britvic is banking on Barwell to keep this NPD pipeline flowing, given his strong background in innovation, consolidated during a 15-year stint at Diageo, which he left in September 2013. As well as responsibility for marketing and innovation, Barwell is in charge of the company’s sustainability programme. Additionally, he is the chairman of Front Foot, the Advertising Association’s industry network set up to restore public confidence in advertising.
