McDonald's launches new 'Taste of America' campaign

LONDON - A variety of US icons feature in a new series of TV ads for McDonald's that aim to highlight the restaurant's "Great Tastes of America" promotion - watch it here.

The first ad in the campaign, which has been created by Leo Burnett, breaks tonight, and features a number of US quirks contrasted against very British settings.

Icons featured include an American Football side lining up against a UK "soccer" team, a giant monster truck parked on the side of a road, and an extravagant Mardi Gras parade taking place in a sleepy suburban street.

The ad also shows a group of toned lifeguards running through a paddling pool, and a yellow New York taxi and US cop making their way down a street.

The campaign will promote a new line of burgers being launched by McDonald's, each of which gives a nod to a different US city.
