Meade resigns from Publicis for strategy post at Springpoint

Stephen Meade, the former Publicis client services director, has

quit the agency to become the deputy managing director of Springpoint,

the Interpublic-owned brand strategy and corporate identity


His switch ends a ten-year spell with the agency where he has been

responsible for the accounts of some of its major clients, including

Coca-Cola and United Biscuits.

Last year he helped set up Publicis Consulting, which helps clients

define and realise the potential of their brands.

Fiona Gilmore, Springpoint's chief executive, said: "Stephen's

appointment shows we are determined to attract and develop the very best

talent and provide our clients with world-class strategic advice."

Springpoint, which was founded ten years ago, has a client list

including Unilever, Vodafone, Giorgio Armani and Lloyd's of London.

The company was bought earlier this year by Golin/Harris International,

Interpublic's PR arm, in what is seen as a prelude to its international


Meade, 40, will work alongside Gilmore and Giles Lury, Springpoint's

head of brand consultancy.
