Johnston joins from British Eurosport where he was head of communications. He has 13 years' experience in sponsorship and sports marketing, and joins MEC:Sponsorship with a brief to develop the business worldwide.
Jeremy Clark, the managing director of MEC:Sponsorship, said: "Martin's diverse experience across all areas of the sponsorship industry, including federation, media owner and brand consultancy will be invaluable to the continued development of our offer to clients."
