AGATHA CHRISTIE'S MARPLE - ITV1/12 December/9.00pm. The Body in the Library is the first in a series of four films that feature Geraldine McEwan as the detective.

WHITNEY'S ADDICTIONS - Five/13 December/9.00pm. A profile of Whitney Houston's rise to success and her problems with various addictions.

CAN'T BUY ME LOVE - ITV1/13 December/9.00pm. Starring Michelle Collins and Martin Kemp, this one-off comedy, based on a real-life story, follows Kemp's bid to rebuild his marriage by falsely claiming he has won the lottery.

THE ROYAL VARIETY PERFORMANCE 2004 - BBC1/15 December/8.00pm. Old-fashioned variety isn't quite dead, as music and comic acts vie for royal attention. Performers include Lee Evans and Sir Cliff Richard.

THE SWAN - Living TV/16 December/10.00pm. After eight weeks of going to extraordinary lengths in the name of beauty, the winner of this reality-TV show will be crowned.

INTERACTIVE PICK - Sky One and Sky Movies. Sky has created an interactive area called Comic Book Heroes, designed as a themed area when viewers press the red button. Each day there is a question about a comic-book hero and a chance to win an iPod. The creative aims to convey the on-air qualities of Sky One and Sky Movies.
