Media: Media Steps Group buys Oceana Television

Media Steps Group, the outdoor advertising company, has been bought by Oceana Television and Media. Oceana has agreed to pay £1 for Media Steps, which sells ads on staircases. Oceana will also take on Media Steps' debts.

Fuller's Brewery is sponsoring a search for the next generation of stand-up comedians in partnership with LBC 97.3 FM and The Independent. There will be four comedy nights held across London, which will be broadcast on Saturdays at 9.00pm.

Shell is running an ad on the Imax cinema complex at Waterloo. The advertiser is running a large wrap showing Shell's "running man" running, sitting and driving. The site is owned by Ocean Outdoor.

Conde Nast has signed a deal with the Spanish Tourist Office. A special 24-page booklet, called Discover Andalucia, has been produced to be bound in the September issues of ten magazines including Vogue, Glamour, Easy Living, GQ, Conde Nast Traveller, Vanity Fair and Tatler. The deal, worth £650,000, was booked through Media Planning Group in Madrid. Conde Nast is also planning editorial support.
