what’s something every media industry person should do before they’re 30?

I think that everyone needs to fail at something or make a mistake, even just a small one. Our industry, generation and particularly the millennials below us are a very confident bunch and always striving for the wins. And although success is really important, the failures and mistakes shape us just as much, if not more. I think they make us smarter, more humble and determined to keep pushing on.

If you could only take one thing to a desert island, what would you choose and why?

My desert island survival kit? No? Ok, in that case my iPod. I love music. It helps me concentrate, relax, run faster and to be without it on a desert island would be a travesty! Particularly as I've just created a shiny new beach holiday playlist...
