Media: Zeitgeist - The new Fatboy Slim album should have plenty of fresh tracks for admen to plunder

Album: Palookaville Released: 4 October Label: Skint Website: www.fatboyslim.net

Palookaville, the new Fatboy Slim album, hits record stores and websites on 4 October. Guest appearances include Damon Albarn, Bootsy Collins and the rapper Lateef. Like his previous albums, such as Halfway Between the Gutter and the Stars and You've Come a Long Way Baby, expect Palookaville to be liberally plundered for television links and trailers, particularly on BBC1 and Sky. And creatives could nab certain tracks for ads. Earlier this year, Fatboy Slim produced Close to Home for the O2 campaign. The track is included on Palookaville as Long Way From Home with added vocals and instrumentation from the Brighton band Johnny Quality. Meanwhile, Fatboy Slim's remix of Groove Armada's I See You Baby cheerfully accompanies the Renault Megane ad. The first single, Slash Dot Dash, is released on 13 September. The 80s promo legend Tim Pope directed the video - his first in ten years. With previous Fatboy Slim videos receiving critical acclaim, it's bound to monopolise MTV.
