Media.com scoops RBS insurance brief

The Royal Bank of Scotland has consolidated its £15 million digital media planning and buying business for its insurance brands into Media-Com's digital specialist, Media.com.

The account includes the insurance brands Privilege, Churchill and Direct Line. It was previously handled by Media.com's WPP stable-mate, Outrider, which is part of Mediaedge:cia.

The business was shifted without a pitch at the request of the client to consolidate the entire RBS business within MediaCom.

MediaCom already handles the offline business for Privilege, Churchill and Direct Line, as well as banking services for the Royal Bank of Scotland.

Media.com and RBS both declined to comment.
