MediaCom, Britain’s biggest media agency, has also recently won Paddy Power Betfair’s estimated £40m business. The company consolidated its spend after the merger of Paddy Power and Betfair.
But the agency, which topped Campaign’s new business tables last year after winning Tesco, suffered a major setback two weeks ago when MediaCom lost Volkwagen’s estimated £2bn global media account to PHD in a consolidation.
MediaCom handled about 90% of the business worldwide, including most of Volkswagen’s brands in the UK apart from Seat, Porsche and Bentley.
