The home construction group previously used MediaCom North to handle the bulk of the business, but has moved the account to MediaVest after a pitch against undisclosed agencies (Campaign, 18 May). MediaVest Manchester will handle regional elements of the buying.
Barratt originally called the pitch in a bid to consolidate its media arrangements into one group. In addition to MediaCom, it also uses other agencies, including the Manchester-based Charterhouse Advertising & Marketing.
MediaVest will work across four brands: Barratt Homes, David Wilson Homes, Ward Homes and Wilson Bowden Developments. The bulk of spend will go on national and regional press to highlight the launch of new developments.
