Users can create a personalised home page, sign up for breaking news and take part in forum discussions. A roster of Media Week bloggers is also being created.
The revamped site will also include access to the latest research from third parties such as the Internet Advertising Bureau, Nielsen//NetRatings and Thomson Intermedia, as well as sister Haymarket publications, including Marketing, Campaign and Revolution.
The site includes a fully searchable archive of more than 300,000 articles, dating back to 1995, and a global, constantly updated, events diary.
Users can build their own home page, with specialist news feeds as well as the user's preferred search engine and content from any area they chose, from sports news to weather forecasts, or current affairs.
Other highlights of the revamped mediaweeek.co.uk site include Mediaweek.tv, a regular series of web chats with leading media figures such as Channel 4's chief executive Andy Duncan and WPP chief executive Sir Martin Sorrell.
OgilvyOne, a leading direct marketing and digital agency, created the new site, which can be found at www.mediaweek.co.uk.
