Microsoft sews a phone charger into pocket to create wireless designer trousers

One of modern life's biggest annoyances, your phone's battery dying when you are out and about, is tackled with the "world's first pair of wireless charging trousers".

Microsoft Mobile (the new name for Nokia post-acquisition) worked with menswear fashion designer A. Sauvage to create the trousers, which were unveiled at a London event attended by Tinie Tempah and presenter George Lamb.

The Nokia DC-50 wireless charging plate technology that charges Lumia smartphones was sewn into trousers to charge a phone by inductive charging as it is in the pocket.
