He has been tasked with developing MindShare's House of Media proposition. He will work closely with the communications director, Rosie Faulkner, and the two planning managing partners, Ita Murphy and Martyn Rees, on integrating the agency's communications and planning functions.
Glanvill, 34, joined MindShare in 2000 from BBJ, where he was the planning director.
Kelly Clark, the current chief executive, said: "Jed's played a big part in MindShare's success over the past three years. Now the whole company will benefit from his passion and his commitment to getting results."
Simeon Duckworth, who currently runs the econometrics division Advanced Techniques Group, is replacing Glanvill as the futures director and joins MindShare's executive committee alongside Clark, Glanvill, Faulkner, Rees, Murphy, the marketing director, Sandra Collins, and the investment director, Nick Theakstone.
