MindShare is broadening its client services offering with the
appointment of Tony Read to take on the newly created role of head of
business-to-business media.
Read will be responsible for building up a business-to-business division
through MindShare’s existing client base, as well as by generating new
clients. Once the department has been built up, it is hoped that the
majority of revenue will come from clients outside the agency base.
Simon Rees, managing director of MindShare, said: ’As businesses
continue to spend more on the internet, this role is not just about
traditional media but also covers e-commerce. Tony’s job will be to help
our clients communicate with other businesses in the most efficient
way.’
Read was managing director for Carat Business until April last year.
He left to join the IT media agency, David Wood & Associates, as
managing director but quit after five months after differences over the
company’s direction.
Read said: ’Our aim to offer specialist business-to-business media
services is a logical extension of the way MindShare works, which is to
secure an advantage across all areas and achieve that through areas of
speciality.’
