MindShare’s Razvi to take commercial director role at CNN

The news comes in the same week that the agency announced a clutch of

new dotcom business total- ling more than pounds 9 million.



Razvi is understood to be joining CNN as commercial director as part of

a raft of changes at the channel designed to strengthen its European

management.



His departure coincides with a new-business fillip for MindShare in the

form of three new dotcom accounts, including the pounds 3 million online

betting account, Blue Square, which MindShare won in a pitch against CIA

Medianetwork.



The agency has also been appointed to handle the media planning and

buying account for Silicon Valley, which owns the biggest ethnic site,

Asiafree.



net, as well as to work on the rebranded and relaunched

TravelSelect.



Razvi joined MindShare when it launched, moving over from J. Walter

Thompson’s media department where he had been running the Kellogg’s

media business.



He was previously at 20/20, the joint venture between Delaney Fletcher

Bozell and media agency CIA.



Last year he was promoted from managing partner to deputy managing

director, working alongside Simon Rees, MindShare’s managing director,

to identify new-business opportunities.
