Miskin promoted to global role at iVillage

NEW YORK - Rebecca Miskin has been appointed general manager of iVillage Network, the web-based community for women, extending her current role as general manager for iVillage UK.

She will report to the newly-appointed Jodi Khan, executive vice president of iVillage Network. Both roles were announced today by Lauren Zalaznick, president, NBC Universal Women and Lifestyle Entertainment Networks, which acquired iVillage in May 2006.

Miskin will work out of the New York and London offices and oversee website editorial content, product development strategy and partnerships of the iVillage core sites as well as responsibility for the daily business of iVillage UK and Astrology.com.

Lauren Zalaznick said: "Miskin is the ideal leader to make the move to the US to capture current momentum and translate it into future growth on both sides of the Atlantic."

Miskin joined iVillage in October 2007 after working at a number of media companies, including Reed Telemedia, IPC Media and digital media company Excite.

Established in 1995, iVillage's brand extensions include iVillage UK, iVillage Total Health and Astrology.com, GardenWeb, gURL.com and the Newborn Channel.
