The renowned portrait photographer Brigitte Lacombe steps in front of the lens for the next episode of Miu Miu's short film series "Women's tales".
Directed by Lynne Ramsay, the film shows a portrait session involving Lacombe, Ramsay, her sister Marian and other family members and friends. Lacombe first gained attention as a photographer on set for the 1975 film All the President’s Men, and has since created portraits for artists and cultural figures including Meryl Streep and Miuccia Prada. Ramsay, herself an esteemed artist for her films including We Need to Talk About Kevin, gives a rare insight into Lacombe’s creative process. It is the 18th commission from "Women’s tales", which invites female directors to investigate vanity and femininity in the 21st century.
