Moon signs Green Wing's Shapeero

Tristram Shapeero, the director of the recent Channel 4 hospital comedy Green Wing, has signed to the London-based commercials production company Moon.

Shapeero has been directing TV comedy for the past four years. His CV includes stints on French & Saunders, Gimme Gimme Gimme, I'm Alan Partridge and Brass Eye.

Moon was formed in 2001, when the director Mike Stephenson and his producer, Linda Peryer, left The Paul Weiland Film Company.

Moon's roster of six directors includes the recently signed David Kerr and the comedy writer, producer and director Armando Iannucci.

Kerr's credentials include the recent ITV series The All Star Comedy Show. Iannucci produced the BBC2 series The Day Today. He joined Moon from Tomboy Films in July 2004 and his recent credits include the Tetley Tea campaign starring Kim Cattrall.
