Morrison quits role at Manning Gottlieb for start-up launch

Patrick Morrison, the creative media director at Manning Gottlieb

Media, is leaving to launch his own agency.

The new agency, called allmodcomms, will specialise in offering creative

media solutions. Morrison intends to work directly with clients or

alongside media or advertising agencies on developing media ideas.

Morrison's agency will be independent but Manning Gottlieb will use it

to create ideas for clients when the need arises. Morrison said that he

has other new-business prospects and will hire other staff as these

During his time at Manning Gottlieb, Morrison launched its Creative

Media unit, which offered clients creative solutions. Projects that

Morrison has worked on recently include the launch of PlayStation 2 and

the teaser activity for Royal & Sun Alliance's "Where's Lucky?" moreth>n

Morrison joined Manning Gottlieb in 1995 and initially ran the Sony

PlayStation account. He joined from the Billett Consultancy after

starting his media career at CIA.

Nick Manning, the chief executive of Manning Gottlieb, said: "The launch

of allmodcomms comes at a good time. With the increased emphasis on

creativity in media, clients are realising that a conventional approach

is no longer enough. Patrick has successfully delivered creative media

solutions for our clients and now he's going to do so for a wider range

of brands, including media owners."

Morrison said: "It has been my long-term ambition to have my own agency

with creativity at the core, rather than buying."
