Mother hires Bryant from TBWA Chiat Day

Mother has hired British-born George Bryant, the joint planning

director of TBWA/ Chiat/Day LA, to strengthen its strategic output.

Bryant will work alongside Andy Bellass at Mother, and will be

responsible for working on brand strategy across a number of the

agency's clients.

Bryant joined TBWA/Chiat/Day LA in 1999, where he headed the Energizer,

Apple, USA Films, Kinko's and Earthlink businesses. He was also actively

involved in new business for the agency.

Prior to that Bryant worked at WCRS for three years, where he was a

board planner on the Trebor, Orange and Caffrey's accounts. He also won

a five-star effectiveness award for his work on the First Direct

business.

He joined WCRS from Lowe Howard-Spink, where he worked on Heineken,

Weetabix, Smirnoff, Vauxhall and Stella Artois , winning a silver IPA

Effectiveness award for the latter.

Bryant said: "Being on the west coast for the past couple of years I've

seen an evolution in the way our clients do business and the increasing

demands they make of their agencies. Mother's work, thinking and

attitude to business is some of the most modern and refreshing I've

seen."

Andy Bellass of Mother added: "With George we've found a rare talent.

His track record speaks for itself, while his drive and enthusiasm is

infectious. He'll be a real asset."
