Mother strengthens with creative hirings

Mother has bolstered its creative department by hiring two teams. Damien Eley and Scott Harris join from Ogilvy & Mather New York, while the Singaporean team Victor Ng and Jon Loke join from Leo Burnett Asia-Pacific.

Before moving to New York, Eley and Harris were at the Sydney start-up BMF, where they worked on accounts including Castlemaine XXXX and Ikea.

In 1999, they won a Cannes Lion for "Larry", a TV spot for Executive B Stress Formula.

The print specialists Ng and Loke won the inaugural Asian Young Creative of the Year award in 2004.

At Burnett, they worked on campaigns for McDonald's and Asia-Pacific Breweries. The pair's campaign for Philips Lighting was the 13th-most-awarded campaign in the 2004 Gunn Report and took home silver and bronze Lions from the Cannes International Advertising Festival in 2004.

Ng said: "Mother is one of the world's most admired agencies and we hope to add a touch of Singapore to its diverse mix of creative talents."
