Motive has started the year by appointing a new head of

international media and winning a number of accounts worth a claimed

pounds 5 million.

James Greet, 32, the client services director at Zenith Asia, is to join

the agency in March and will be appointed immediately to the board. He

replaces Susannah Outfin, who left as head of international media to

join Ammirati Puris Lintas last summer (Campaign, 30 August 1996).

Motive wants to focus on developing the agency’s international

delivery.

With the appointment of Greet, the position has been raised to a more

senior level and he will work closely with the management team to

strengthen the Motive product across different markets.

Meanwhile, Motive has won media for the Wallis and Adams retail stores,

both part of the Sears Group. The wins came without a pitch and follow

the appointment of its parent, Bartle Bogle Hegarty, to the creative

accounts last July and December.

Motive’s role will be to help relaunch the two brands during 1997.

Wallis has not advertised recently, but intends to invest in the brand

over the next few years. The Adams account was previously held by Zenith

Media.
