Movers: Appointment at AOL UK

Tobin Ireland - AOL UK has appointed Ireland to the newly created post of chief marketing officer and senior vice-president - the internet service provider's top marketing role.

Ireland's appointment comes ten months after he joined the company as the acting vice-president of strategy. He joined from BSkyB, where he was the commercial director with responsibility for its interactive division. Before that, he was the chief operating officer of the internet start-up Boo.com.

One of his first moves will be to appoint a vice-president of strategy to replace Sharon Lang, who left in January.
