Movers: Appointment at Barclaycard

Barclaycard has appointed Elizabeth Chambers (pictured) as its chief marketing officer with a seat on the board.

Chambers joins from the international law firm Bingham McCutchen LLP, where she was the chief marketing and strategy officer. Her career has also included senior roles at the Bank of America, Readers' Digest, McKinsey & Company, where she was a partner, and Morgan Stanley. In her new role, Chambers will be responsible for strategic marketing and brand management, advertising, customer insight, new-product development and innovation. She will also oversee internal and external communications.

She will report to the Barclaycard chief executive, Anthony Jenkins, who said: "Libby has an impressive record in global marketing. Her appointment will enable us to develop the strength of the Barclaycard brand, our marketing presence and our capability wherever we operate."
