In this role, MacLoughlin will liaise with media owners and industry bodies on behalf of Carat's clients. He will be responsible for all Carat's regional press business - worth £30 million in the past 12 months - across clients such as British Gas, Renault and Debenhams. MacLoughlin joined Carat in 1999 from ZenithOptimedia. He will report to Aegis' head of media, Steve Platt, and Carat's head of press, Dominic Williams.
