Movers: Appointment at The Direct Marketing Association

Rosemary Smith - The Direct Marketing Association has appointed Rosemary Smith as its new chairman.

Smith joins the board from RSA Direct,where she is the managing director. She takes over from Charles Ping, who has completed his two-year term as the chairman of the board. Smith has been working alongside Ping as the deputy chairman for the past two years. In her new role, she will be tackling issues for the DM industry such as the environment, expertise and engagement. The new deputy chairman will be David Metcalfe, the head of wholesale banking development for Lloyds TSB Scotland and a former chairman of DMA in Scotland.
