He joins from RMG:Connect, where he was the strategy and planning director. Thwaites joined RMG:Connect when it was merged with the WPP-owned agency Concept. The latter agency had previously bought New Marketing Technologies, the agency Thwaites founded in 1996. The Hicklin Slade partner Mark Runacus said: "I've worked with Dan at RMG and he really understands consumer choice and control. Brands understand they have to invest in engaging content and new levels of interactivity to attract consumer attention and are looking for agencies to help them."
Hicklin Slade has hired Dan Thwaites as the director of digital. Thwaites will work closely with the agency's flagship Honda client on its electronic prospect relationship marketing strategy and on Camelot's electronic customer relationship marketing.
