Movers: Appointment at the Internet Advertising Bureau

The Internet Advertising Bureau has expanded its government affairs team with the appointment of Barbara Newman as its first chief privacy officer.

Newman, a founder member of the IAB and the head of communication and brand development for Yell.com, was previously the body's privacy officer. Her role has been changed in response to the European Commission's review of data protection in electronic communications, which regulates the use of software tools such as cookies.
