Movers: Appointment at Match.com

The online dating service Match.com has hired Matthew Welch (pictured) as its international chief marketing officer.

In his new role, Welch will be responsible for the co-ordination and development of all consumer brand marketing activity as the brand invests in its global expansion. Welch's appointment follows a spell as a consultant to the online dating site, during which time he oversaw its "make love happen" advertising campaign.

Welch was previously the vice-president of marketing for Madison Square Garden/Radio City Entertainment and the executive vice-president of marketing for Hypnotic, the branded entertainment production company behind Channel 4's US drama The OC.
