Movers: Appointment at McCann Worldgroup

McCann Worldgroup has promoted Peter McGuinness to a senior role with dual responsibilities at Momentum Worldwide, its event, sponsorship, promotion and retail marketing agency.

McGuinness has been made the executive vice-president and regional director of the company in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

In addition, he becomes the worldwide director of consumer activation, where he will be responsible for leading the company's push to become the agency of record for McCann Worldgroup's roster clients, as well as other global companies. McGuinness joined the network in 1991 as an intern at McCann New York. He has since held positions across the group, including the worldwide account director on MasterCard and an equivalent role on its Unilever business.
