He joined 3 as its director of customer marketing in October last year. In his new role, Penberthy-Smith will be responsible for 3's marketing across all of its products, customer propositions, channel and base marketing. He will report to 3's deputy chief executive officer, Kevin Russell, and replaces Graeme Oxby, who is leaving in March after five years at the company. Penberthy-Smith's career has also included a spell at Vodafone, as its head of global voice propositions.
