Movers: Appointment at Radio 2

Jeff Smith is to join Radio 2 as its head of music. Smith is the director of UK and international programming at Napster and has been the head of music at Radio 1.

In his time at Radio 1, he founded the Evening Session programme and was responsible for recruiting talent such as Chris Moyles, Steve Lamacq and Trevor Nelson. Smith starts his new job in March and replaces Colin Martin, who announced his retirement in December.
