Blue 449 has promoted managing director Lindsay Turner to chief executive following Simon Davis' resignation after nine years in the job. Davis’ move came just five weeks after Publicis Media promoted him by giving him an additional role as UK chief executive of sister media agency Spark Foundry. Multiple sources said Davis disagreed with the decision to make Blue 449 part of Spark Foundry’s global network in March.
Dare has appointed its business director, Atem Mbeboh, as managing director after the exit of chief executive Michael Olaye. Mbeboh joined Dare as business director in 2018 from 4Media Group, where he was deputy managing director.
The Possible agency brand is disappearing in the UK and merging with Mirum to form a single digital experience and innovation agency. Mirum UK will be a standalone brand within the Wunderman Thompson network. Chris Daplyn, Possible's UK group chief executive since November 2017, has been named chief executive of Mirum UK and will report to Wunderman Thompson global chief executive Mel Edwards.
MediaMonks, the creative production company that was the first acquisition of Sir Martin Sorrell’s S4 Capital, has recruited a vice-president of growth for its recently relocated London office. Kieve Ducharme joins from Prodigious Worldwide, where she has been chief production officer since January 2017.
Rohan Tambyrajah, a head of strategy at PHD Global Business, has been promoted to the newly created role of chief strategy officer of the division. He reports to Toby Hack, chief executive of PHD Global Business, and will focus on the agency’s global clients.
Rothco, the Dublin agency owned by Accenture Interactive, has handed Jen Speirs the role of executive creative director. Australian-born Speirs was previously deputy executive creative director at BMF Australia. Rothco’s current executive creative director, Alan Kelly, has been promoted to chief creative officer.
Cosmopolitan UK editor-in-chief Farrah Storr is moving to sister title Elle UK in the same role. Anne-Marie Curtis is leaving Elle after 15 years, including the last two as editor-in-chief. The June issue of Elle will be Curtis' last as editor.
Graham Fink has been appointed chief creative officer of digital strategy and design studio This Place. His most recent previous agency role was at Ogilvy China, where he was also chief creative officer.
Tracey Barber, group chief marketing officer, UK and Europe, at Havas Creative Agency Network, is taking on a global remit. As global chief marketing officer, Barber will deliver new-business best practice, tools and expertise for Havas Creative. This includes US-based shop Arnold, but not BETC.
ESI Media has enlisted Andy Morley as chief digital revenue officer. Morley joins from ad-tech company Amobee, where he was vice-president of sales in EMEA. He replaces Scott Deutrom, who left last month to become advertising managing director at Immediate Media.
VCCP has hired Peter Gasston as innovation lead. He previously held the same role at Rehab and, before that, was senior creative technologist there.
Meanwhile, VCCP has also made a series of planning hires: Ross Cameron has joined as global planning director from VMLY&R, while Richard Bradford joins from Wavemaker as head of planning on the O2 account. Sophie Kerbegian has been promoted to group planning director, while Alexa Caldecott and Jenny Nichols both become planning directors.
Skincare brand Bulldog has hired Verizon Media senior marketing director Richard Blake as global head of marketing. In his new role, Blake will lead the company’s marketing activities in the UK and internationally across 27 countries.
Predictive marketing platform Programmai has appointed Joost van Heesbeen as head of product in its London office. He was previously a programmatic consultant at Nielsen.
