Movers and shakers: Just Eat, Accenture, Confused.com, Bauer, Amplify, Shortlist and more

Just Eat's global chief marketing officer Barnaby Dawe (pictured, above) is leaving the company as part of a restructure of the business that will see the creation of a new chief customer officer role. Dawe, the Marketing Society’s Marketing Leader of the Year for 2017, leaves without a job to go to.

Lisa De Bonis, the executive digital director at Havas London, has quit the agency to join Accenture Interactive. De Bonis, one of the founding partners of Work Club, which was acquired by Havas in 2014, has left to take a managing director role with a specific focus on strategic accounts and scaling Accenture Interactive’s creative futures offer.

Confused.com has appointed Sam Day as chief marketing officer. He was previously director of customer acquisition at RAC, from June 2012 to January 2018. Day replaces Paul Troy, who is now a brand advisor to the price comparison site.

Bauer Media Group is simplifying the reporting structure of its publishing business and introducing global responsibilities for radio, new business and online comparison platforms (OCP). The publishing business in continental Europe will report to Jörg Hausendorf. He will also supervise a newly created global production and printing function. Veit Dengler will assume responsibility for radio and OCP in addition to his current accountabilities for the publishing businesses in UK, USA and Australia/New Zealand as well as new business.

Dentsu Aegis Network has appointed Rachel McDonald to the new role of managing director of its northern UK business. In this new role, McDonald will oversee operations across four offices in the north of England and Scotland for key agency brands Carat, iProspect, Vizeum, Amplifi and Fetch. McDonald joined the business in its previous guise as MediaVest in 2001 and was most recently managing director of Carat Manchester. Chief operations officer John Mathieson, meanwhile, sees his role expanded and will work with Matthew Platts, chief executive of Media Brands, UK & Ireland to drive greater integration across Dentsu Aegis Network North.

Amplify is expanding its creative and strategy offerings with the addition of three new hires. Former Portas strategist Sophy Vanner joins as senior strategist, Catalina Velasquez Gonzalez as 2D designer and D&AD New Blood Pencil winner and industry newcomer Beth Anderton-Allen takes the position of creative.

Yourzine UK has rebranded to become Adeptiv UK, with a new management team that includes ex-DigitasLBi business director, Jake Richards, as managing director. Alisa Fleischmann, previously of Wunderman and OgilvyOne, has also been brought in for the newly-created role of client services director. Richards replaces Floris Oranje who has moved to the UK office of Dutch agency Dept.

Newly launched tech start-up Ad-Lib has appointed Ed Lyon to the board in the senior management position of head of product. He joins from GroupM’s Essence where he was account director. Lyon was one of Media Week’s 30 under 30 in 2016.  

SNAP London has appointed Stephanie Tuesley as planning director, reporting to executive planning director Matt Wyatt. Tuesley joins the agency from Saatchi & Saatchi, where she was regional planning director for Pampers. She has also held positions at Publicis, VCCP and Ogilvy.

Shortlist Media has announced that its creative director Matt Phare will be broadening his remit to include creative control and management of design of Shortlist Media Family, the content studio for the Met Set.
