Movers and shakers: Possible, Tesco, Boden, Wavemaker, Boiler Room, Viacom, Wunderman and more

Jon Andrews: becomes Possible London's creative leader

Possible London has appointed Jon Andrews, group creative director at R/GA, as executive creative director. Andrews has previously held roles as head of creative technology at Bartle Bogle Hegarty London and Mother, head of innovation at Ogilvy and, most recently, group creative lead at R/GA. The previous incumbent in the ECD role was Pablo Marques who has moved to Elephant in New York. Andrews will report to chief executive Chris Daplyn.

Tesco has promoted chief product officer Jason Tarry to UK chief executive. His predecessor, Charles Wilson, is stepping down from the retailer’s board after being diagnosed with throat cancer. Wilson was previously CEO of Booker, but took up the new role following the wholesaler’s acquisition by Tesco in March. Dave Lewis remains in his role as global CEO.

Penny Herriman, the global brand director for Boden, is leaving to start a new venture. To ensure a smooth transition period, Herriman will stay until the end of 2018. The company said an announcement about her successor would be made in "due course".

Zippo Manufacturing Company has promoted Richard Finlow to the new position of senior vice president of global sales and marketing. Finlow previously held the position of senior vice president of global sales. The move unites the sales and marketing divisions.

Boiler Room has appointed Jodie Nicholson as its first managing director. She was previously global brand partnership director at the digital music platform.

Posterscope has promoted Gill Huber to the newly created role of chief client officer from her post as head of marketing and communications. Huber reports to managing director for UK, Glen Wilson.

Lee Sears has been promoted to senior vice president of Viacom Velocity International, the advertising sales, branded content and events agency of Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN). Sears, who was previously vice president of trading and sales, succeeds Philip O’Ferrall, who is leaving Viacom after 10 years to "focus on his growing portfolio of outside interests", according to the company.

Wunderman UK has hired Katt Wright as partner of delivery and operations. Wright moves from an associate partner role at IBM Interactive to head-up operations across Wunderman’s multiple client teams in London.

James Edgar, previously head of talent for Wavemaker’s market development team, has been promoted to global chief talent officer.

IndaHash.com, the global tech platform that connects influencers to brands and agencies, has made a double hire. Daniel Best joins as vice president, EMEA from Unruly where he was managing director of global client development, while Abigail Morrish becomes chief partnerships officer having previously served as Wavemaker’s head of digital engagement.

Mirum London has promoted its head of delivery, Manisha Sharma, to the UK chief operating officer role.

Jemima Bird, chief executive and co-founder of agency holding group Hello Finch and former Co-op customer director, has been invited onto the Football Foundation board of trustees, becoming the second independent board member of the UK’s largest sports charity.
