Total Media has poached Glen Irving, TV manager at AW Media. In his new role, he will head Total’s television department, working on Amazon, Plasti-Kote paints and Penguin Books, among others. Irving has spent two-and-a-half years at AW Media and will leave the agency on 4 August. His replacement has yet to be named.

Andrew Moody, media manager at All Response Media, has been promoted to

associate director. Moody, aged 26, started his career at the agency in

October 1996 as an assistant, working his way up to executive in January

1997 and manager in October 1998. He will be responsible for TV

advertising for One Tel, Pet Plan Insurance and Reader’s Digest, inserts

for Innovations and GUS Home Shopping, and the press buying for Allied

Health. He will report to the management board, headed by managing

director Andy Sloan. His old position as manager has yet to be

filled.





WorkThing.com, the Guardian Media Group’s online careers site, has

recruited three client account handlers. Fiona Knight joins from the

sales team of Travel Trade Gazette, Nick Rosekilly arrives from Garrick

Media and Lorna Boyle joins from Informa Publishing, where she was a

classified sales executive on Insurance Day.





TDI is bulking up its regional offices with a raft of appointments.

Trish Booth and Wayne Clarke join as sales executives. Booth will cover

the Leicestershire area and Clarke joins the South-west team. Booth

worked previously for the Swindon Evening Advertiser and Clarke comes

with five years’ experience from The Western Telegraph and The West

Wales Mercury. The telemarketing team has recruited Emily Chaney to

support the three sales teams in the South. Paul Pritchard joins as a

telemarketer for the Midlands and Andrew Randall will handle the

North-west area. The company has also hired Chloe Williams as an account

manager.





Danny McComisky, a former senior sales executive on Trinity Mirror’s

Scottish Daily Record and Sunday Mail, has been promoted to display

group head for retail and business. McComisky has worked for Trinity

Mirror since May 1995 and will continue to report to Liz Hamilton,

display sales manager for retail and business.





Media headhunter Kinlay Svendsen has hired Tom Leader as a consultant.

He previously worked as a recruitment ad manager on Centaur’s Marketing

Week. Leader will now report to the two directors Kirsty Svendsen and

Debbie Kinlay. He will focus on new media and the national press.





All Response Media has hired two graduates, Eleanor Thompson and

Francesca Bohler, as assistant media buyers. They will work across

inserts, direct-response TV and online and will report to associate

director Andrew Moody.





PrintRepublic.com, the online marketplace for the print industry, has

appointed David Knowles as director of sales. Knowles started out in the

industry as an apprentice more than 32 years ago and has spent 18 years

in sales and marketing, working for Heidelberg, Agfa and Linotype.
