Clare Edwards has been appointed media planner for the
Brighton-based advertising agency, Designate. Edwards was previously a
planner/buyer at BMP DDB and Bartle Bogle Hegarty. Her experience
includes working on campaigns for Spillers petfoods, Boots No7 and the
Health Education Authority’s Aids awareness campaign.
ONdigital has recruited Rob Fyfe from Telecom New Zealand to take on the
newly created role of chief operating officer. Fyfe will report to chief
executive Stuart Prebble.
Emap Online has appointed Andrew Warner to the position of marketing
director. Warner was formerly marketing manager for BBC Online, and
subsequently acting head of marketing for the corporation’s public
service internet operation. Warner will be reviewing Emap Online’s trade
and consumer advertising arrangements.
John Marcom has been named president of Time International. He was
previously president of Time Asia. In his new role, Marcom will oversee
the company’s magazine publishing activities in Europe, the Middle East,
Africa and Asia.
Sarah Buckley and Paul Elliott are to become media managers in
Optimedia’s UK planning department. They will be responsible for that
include Siemens, SCJ and Perrier/Vittel.
Optimedia has promoted Graeme Canter and Suzie Martin to TV group heads,
where each will be responsible for billings of pounds 30 million.
Canter, who handled the pounds 14 million SCJ account, has taken on the
pounds 11 million Woolwich account.
Richard Downey has been promoted to senior sales executive on Dennis
Publishing’s PC Zone and the recently launched Official Dreamcast
WWAV Rapp Collins Media has recruited Ben Cunningham and John Stevens as
media assistants. They will work on the Legal & General, Capital One and
Atlas Editions accounts.
Paul O’Neill has joined Michaelides & Bednash to work as a media
strategist. O’Neill moves from Delaney Fletcher Bozell and will work on
the agency’s Anchor account.
Skyview, formerly the Sky TV Guide, has recruited Amanda Pitt as
advertisement controller. Pitt moves from IPC, where she was advertising
manager on the TV listings titles. She replaces Tim Hudson who has moved
up the ladder to become Skyview’s associate publisher.
Miller Freeman UK has appointed Tony Keefe as group director of its
building and building services portfolio. Keefe moves up from his post
as development director. He was formerly a group publishing director at
Emap and managing director of Mondiale Corporation.
Rory Becks, promotions and sponsorship manager at Capital Advertising is
leaving to join its rival, Emap On Air, within the same capacity.
