KR Media is not taking a financial stake in Naked's French office, but the two agencies will share premises and Naked will act as KR media's preferred partner.
The move marks the first time that Naked has partnered a traditional media planning and buying agency.
Summerscales, the strategy director at Naked in London and a former Carat communications strategy director, is to spearhead Naked Paris, which will be a wholly owned subsidiary of the London office. The new office is expected to launch before the summer.
Separately, Naked has been appointed to handle global communications planning for Nokia's multimedia division. The division develops mobile phones with entertainment capabilities such as music, TV and film applications.
Naked ran the pitch for Nokia's next generation of handsets, the N-Series, which was won by Interpublic Group. However, Naked has since been appointed to work on strategies for other new multimedia products from the mobile phone operator.
