Naked strengthens strategy team in UK

Naked Communications has made several senior hirings to its UK team, its first since it installed a new UK management team in March.

David Moynihan, 35, joins the agency in the role of strategy director from the brand consultancy Branded. At Branded, he worked on the Channel 4, Orange and Yahoo! accounts.

Dan Burgess, 34, also joins Naked as a strategy director. He previously worked at the research agency 2CV as an associate director.

The move follows the elevation of Niku Banaie, Jo Pearce and Geoff Gray to managing partners and the departures of the head of strategy, Jon Forsyth, to join Naked's sister agency ODD, and the director Andy Griffin, to join Naked Inside.

Naked has also hired Kate Bower and Fola Williams as senior strategists. Bower joins from Ingram and Williams from his own start-up communications agency in Paris.

In addition, James Clent and Anne Hopkins join the agency as strategists. Clent was previously with Michaelides & Bednash, while Hopkins moves from the Australian agency Host Consult.

Banaie said the hirings would help Naked handle recent wins, including Kickers, Hachette Filipacchi and Gap. He added that they would also boost the agency's new-business efforts.
