Urinary ditty reminds us how easy it is to screen for kidney disease
It's true: everybody pees. Making this point for the National Kidney Foundation is a video and companion website kidney.org/everybodypees with anthropomorphic kidneys.
In a video that calls to mind "Dumb Ways to Die," the viral hit from Metro Trains in Australia, the organs dance and relieve themselves to an upbeat acoustic ditty. We see a kidney sumo wrestler, a kidney astronaut, and a kidney answering nature's call by the side of the road, all dancing to the refrain "Everybody Pees."
The campaign's goal is to raise awareness on how easy it is to screen for kidney disease through urine tests. With early detection, the simple test can slow or halt kidney ailments.
