Lottery sales on all mobile platforms grew 53% in the year to 31 March and now account for almost half of all interactive sales. Smartphone sales are growing especially quickly, up 71%.
The figures mirror data released this month showing that almost half of all UK ecommerce sales were now on mobile, with phones taking share from tablets.
Camelot also increased sales of the core Lotto product, thanks to changes introduced last year which increased the chances of winning a £1m+ prize. In the six months after the changes, Lotto gave out more than 100 of these prizes - double the figure for the previous six months.

The Lottery raised £1.9bn for good causes in the last year, taking the total raised since its foundation in 1994 to £35bn. It handed out £4.2bn in prizes last year, taking the total to £59bn.
