Hinds brings a wealth of experience to the role, with a particular expertise in working with historic venues. She spent eight years with Historic Scotland, promoting Edinburgh and Stirling Castle to the events and incentives market within the UK and abroad. Prior to that, she worked overseas in the tourism industry.

She said: "I began my career with VisitScotland in Aberdeen, so I am absolutely thrilled to be back in the north promoting some of the most spectacular venues in Scotland. I’m very excited to be working with dedicated and hardworking teams who work tirelessly creating amazing opportunities for events and incentive travel, with the highest levels of quality and customer care."

Hinds will represent a portfolio of nine venues in the north of Scotland, stretching from Brodie Castle near Inverness to the House of Dun near Dundee. The collection also includes Crathes Castle, Fyvie Castle and Drum Castle.

The nine venues offer atmospheric and authentic locations for events of all sizes. Multi-purpose estates like Castle Fraser and Drum Castle regularly host large corporate events in their grounds, while inside spaces are ideal for intimate dinners and receptions.

A diverse array of activities are available at the properties, including whisky tasting, falconry displays and themed dinners; as well as laser clay pigeon shooting and, at Crathes Castle, delegates can experience the only Go Ape tree top adventure in the north of Scotland.

There are 19 historic properties across Scotland which make up the National Trust for Scotland’s Unique Venues for Corporate Entertaining collection.
