The National Magazine Company has relieved deputy managing director
Duncan Edwards of his departmental management responsibilities in
advance of his replacing managing director Terry Mansfield next
Edwards relinquishes his responsibilities for marketing, international
ad sales and classified and will concentrate on developing new magazine
and internet ventures.
Corporate business development director Tim Lucas will add international
ad sales and classified to his existing responsibilities for central
sales, promotions and the regional sales offices. Lucas joined NatMags
in 1995 after spending seven years in media planning and buying at J.
Walter Thompson, BBJ and McCann-Erickson.
Commenting on Lucas’s new role, Edwards said: ’It makes sense to expand
Tim’s role. He has developed a great expertise in central sales.’
Circulation director Martin Granby, a board director, becomes director
of consumer sales and marketing. He takes responsibility for all
magazine sales areas.
Sue Coffin will continue in her role as head of marketing and will
report to Granby.

editors in exploring new possibilities.’
