The media agency, the Network, is making online media planning and
buying a formal part of its repertoire this week.
They will be offered alongside its traditional TV, press and radio
planning and buying services, allowing the agency to offer an extended
The Network has offered online media buying for two years, but mainly as
an adjunct to traditional media for selected clients, including Ford,
IBM, Guinness and Lotus. The announcement coincides with the publication
last week of Ogilvy and Mather’s ’Net Works - an Easy Guide for
Advertising on the Internet for Brand and Marketing Professionals’.
The Network has made the digital environment a key part of its Website,
called greenblob.com, also launched this week. It offers a guide to the
Network, its TV, press, radio and digital capabilities, and media news,
plus a ’fun’ section called Mystic Mandy.
