Your New Home, the magazine for home buyers, is to go bi-monthly

and has upgraded its web service to include the latest in video and Ipix

technology.

Three senior sales executives, one for the online offering, are being

sought by the magazine, which is based in Bexleyheath, Kent and is owned

by independent publisher New Concept Group.

The consumer quarterly retails for pounds 2.95 and is to increase its

frequency from 12 May. The magazine has no ABC but prints 70,000 copies

and claims to sell 40,000.

Of the 162 pages, around 40 per cent are ads for new home developers and

home interest products. The advertising is sold by a four-person team

headed by project co-ordinator Richard Law, who reports to head of sales

Anne Sadler. Jodie Cowden, a graduate trainee, has recently been

recruited to sell advertorials.

The website is produced in partnership with Scoot, Cable & Wireless,

Capital Radio and the House Builders Federation, and contains

developers’ site listings. The upgraded Ipix technology allows users to

take a 360-degree virtual walk around developers’ show homes.

Banner advertising is sold by a team of two under Sadler and e-commerce

initiatives - including virtual shopping malls of home products - are

being developed.

New Concept also publishes contract titles for builders such as Leech

Homes, Fairclough, Gleeson and Walton Homes. It also publishes a series

of bi-annual guides in the areas of security and fire prevention.

Managing editor Dawn Leahey said that research among readers and

visitors to the Evening Standard Home Buyers Show had proved the need

for a home mover service aimed at people buying new homes.

The spring edition of Your New Home carries a 36-page supplement -

Mortgage Matters - that is attached to the magazine.
