Collett Dickenson Pearce has poached Saatchi and Saatchi’s management
supervisor, Chris Macleod, to become one of its two new deputy managing
Macleod will work alongside Simon Myers, who has been promoted from
within CDP to be the other deputy managing director, to handle the day-
to-day running of the agency. The former deputy managing director, Marc
Lepere, moves up to vice- chairman to take on a more strategic and
The appointments follow the elevation of CDP’s managing director, Ben
Langdon, to the post of chief executive at the end of last year

Macleod, who was deputy managing director of Laing Henry before it
folded into Saatchis last year, said he was looking forward to returning
to general management: ‘I was in a management role at Laing Henry, and
that role of combining general management and account handling is one
that I like.’
Macleod began his agency career at Leagas Delaney, but moved over to
Saatchis in the late 80s. From there he joined Laing Henry, only to move
back to Saatchis when the two agencies merged last year. He was
responsible for the Metropolitan Police, Gillette and Health Education
Myers has been with CDP for 18 months, having joined from Simons Palmer
Denton Clemmow and Johnson. Before that, he spent five years in account
management at GGT.
At the same time, Johnny Hornby, a Campaign Face to Watch last year,
moves up to become head of account management.
